From February 10 to 13， a delegation from Shandong University visited University College Dublin （UCD） in Ireland upon invitation， to explore opportunities for deeper and broader collaboration in areas such as cooperative education， academic research， and faculty and student exchanges． During the visit， the delegation also met with alumni representatives and paid a visit to the Embassy of the People＇s Republic of China in Ireland．
2月10日至13日，山东大学代表团应邀访问爱尔兰都柏林大学，探讨加强在合作办学、学术研究、师生交流等更多领域更深层次合作。其间，代表团还会见了校友代表，拜访中国驻爱尔兰大使馆。
Jeremy Simpson， Principal of the UCD College of Science； Anthony Brabazon， Principal of the UCD College of Business； and Tom Curran， Vice Principal of the UCD College of Engineering and Architecture， respectively met with the delegation． In－depth discussions were held on enhancing the alignment between talent cultivation and industry demands， exploring an interdisciplinary＂STEM ＋ Management＂ training model based on advantageous disciplines， promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional programs， and innovating pathways for cultivating versatile talent． Both parties agreed to establish a joint scientific research seed fund to strengthen collaborative tackling of key challenges and facilitate the synergy between high－quality educational resources and technological innovation resources． They also agreed to hold a＂UCD Day＂ event at Shandong University， combining cultural exchanges with academic interactions to create a vibrant international campus atmosphere and promote the continuous and substantive development of their cooperation． Representatives from UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering， School of Biosystems and Food Engineering， College of Business， and International Office participated in the discussions．
都柏林大学理学部部长Jeremy Simpson、商学部部长Anthony Brabazon、工程与建筑学部副部长Tom Curran先后会见代表团一行，就以提升人才培养与产业需求的契合度为目标，依托优势学科探索“STEM＋管理”交叉培养模式，推动传统专业转型升级，创新复合型人才培养路径进行深度交流。一致同意通过联合设立科研种子基金，加强联合攻关，促进优质教育资源与科技创新资源协同融合；在山东大学举办“都柏林大学日”活动，通过文化交流与学术互动相结合的形式，营造良好的国际化校园氛围，推动两校合作不断走深走实。该校机械与材料工程学院、生物系统与食品工程学院、商学院、国际处等单位代表参加座谈。
Furthermore， the delegation visited UCD O＇Brien Centre for Science， gaining in－depth insights into UCD＇s research structure and educational models in science disciplines such as Biology， Chemistry， and Mathematics． The relevant experiences provided valuable references for Shandong University to advance interdisciplinary integration， optimize the scientific research and education system， and promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements． （Source： Jinan Licheng District Convergence Media Center）
