As the essence of autumn deepens, the fragrance of chestnuts permeates the air. Over 60,000 mu of Mount Tai chestnuts in Huangqian Town, Daiyue District, Tai'an City, Shandong Province, have entered the peak harvest season.

Huangqian Town enjoys the exceptional natural gifts of Mount Tai, surrounded by mountains and rivers at an ideal elevation. The superior natural environment ensures that the chestnuts produced here are glossy, plump, and aesthetically pleasing, making them a bestseller in the market.

Chestnut Grower, Yanchihe Village, Huangqian Town: Li Benming

"I've been growing chestnuts for over 30 years. I've planted chestnut trees across 12 mu of land, with about 70 trees per mu. Thanks to all the rain this year, we've had a huge chestnut harvest! We're getting about 750 jin of chestnuts per mu this year. Prices are way better this year—now we're getting 4.5 yuan a jin on average. For every mu, that's about 4,000 yuan in total revenue."

Huangqian Town has vigorously developed its chestnut industry while continuously optimizing the full industrial chain layout of"cultivation + processing + marketing." By enhancing the added value of chestnut products, the town is turning these"mountain treasures" into golden fruits for wealth creation.

Per capita income growth is projected to reach 1,000 yuan this year."
