The process of making Canal Earthware is intricate． Throwing， trimming， glazing， and firing， each step plays a crucial role in determining the final outcome．

运河土陶的制作过程非常复杂。拉胚，修胚，上釉，烧制。每一个步骤，都决定最后的结果。

“ In my childhood memories， people on both sides of the canal used its clay to fire earthware， creating everyday items． As living standards improved， this craft of earthware nearly faded away． Seven or eight years ago， a few like－minded individuals， including myself， came together to rediscover and master some of the firing techniques． Building on this foundation， we further developed the firing process for tea sets． Our next step is to expand production， whether it＇s earthware or tea sets． We aim to promote and carry forward the culture of Canal Earthware beyond Wucheng， introducing it to the entire country．”

“小时候的记忆当中，运河两岸的人们利用运河的泥土烧制一些土陶，一些日用品。由于人们的生活不断提高，土陶这个技艺几乎失传了。七八年之前我们几个志同道合的人组织在一起，重新研究掌握了烧制的一些技法，在这个基础上我们又开发了茶具的烧制。下一步打算扩大生产规模，不管是土陶或者茶具我们发扬光大走出武城，把土陶的文化推向全国。”
