In history， the main stream of the Yellow River flowed through Xiajin twice， and after changing its course， it left 300000 acres of sandy land， known as the＂Old Course of the Yellow River＂． People planted mulberry trees to suppress sandstorms and promote agricultural production． At its peak， the planting area reached over 5000 hectares， and now more than 400 hectares remain， with over 20000 ancient mulberry trees over a hundred years old． It is the oldest and largest existing ancient mulberry tree group in China．

历史上，黄河主流两次流经夏津，改道后留下了30万亩沙河地，被称之为“黄河故道”。人们为抑制风沙、促进农业生产而植桑造林，鼎盛时期种植面积达5000多公顷，现遗存400多公顷，百年以上古桑树2万余株。是中国现存树龄最高、规模最大的古桑树群。

This system integrates agriculture， forestry， and animal husbandry， and has multifunctional values such as sand prevention and control， biodiversity conservation， utilization of biological resources， and maintenance of agricultural landscapes． It has witnessed the development of China＇s agricultural and mulberry civilization and was awarded the title of＂Global Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage＂ by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2018．

该系统集农、林、牧于一体，具有防沙治沙、生物多样性保护、生物资源利用、农业景观维持等多功能价值，见证了中国农桑文明发展，2018年被联合国粮农组织授予“全球重要农业文化遗产”称号。

Being selected as a globally important agricultural cultural heritage has brought a new concept and added new momentum to the green and ecological development of Xiajin． It has also provided a new experience for local residents to practice green concepts and embrace low－carbon living．
