Paper Cutting is a kind of folk art using scissors or carving knives to cut and carve decorative design on paper, which is used to decorate life or cooperate with other folk activities. It has a broad mass base and is intertwined with people’s social life.

走进陵城区“朔之乡”文化产业中心，省级非遗项目“朔之乡”剪纸艺术传承人石万照正娴熟地精剪细刻。

Entering the cultural industry center of“Shuo Zhixiang” in Lingcheng district of Dezhou, East China’s Shandong province, we found that Shi Wanzhao, the art inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage project“Shuo Zhixiang” papper-cut, was skillfully cutting and curving.

石万照出生在剪纸世家，父亲石成才醉心剪纸并创办“朔之乡”剪纸品牌，她从小耳濡目染，逐渐爱上这门技艺。

Shi Wanzhao, was born in a aristocratic family of paper-cut. Her father, Shi Chengcai, was obsessed with paper-cut and founded a paper-cut brand called“Shuo Zhixiang”. She learned it from her childhood and gradually fell in love with the art.

她先后创作出《智圣东方朔》、《陵县八景》、《忠勇刚正—颜真卿》等作品，富有很强的生活气息和艺术感染力。

She has successively created such works as The Wise Sage Dongfang Shuo, Eight Scenes of Lingcheng and The Staunch Dongfang Shuo with a strong sense of life and artistic appeal.

“朔之乡”剪纸品牌创办于1998年，以单色、手工为主，将书法、美术融合其中，使传统的剪纸艺术更加独到、精细、别具一格。

The“Shuo Zhixiang” paper-cut brand was founded in 1998. Focusing on monochrome colour and handwork, it integrates calligraphy and art, which makes the traditional paper-cut art more refined and unique.

非物质文化遗产是以人为本的活态文化遗产，朔之乡剪纸在传承技艺的同时，不断进行创新，与时俱进，让世界了解剪纸艺术，了解中国传统文化。
