When my younger sister and I were little girls

and a pair of red cotton shoes sewn by my mother

“Mom likes red.”was my first reaction

Engraved in my childhood memories

so that when I grow up

I always like to buy some red items

as gifts for my mother

Every time my mother received the gift

she always gave me a big smile and told me

she was a big fan of red

because she thought red could make her look vounger

Slowly I realized that

But also a cultural icon and spiritual sustainance
