新泰古称平阳
Xintai City was called Pingyang in ancient times
西晋泰始年间
During the first years of the Western Jin Dynasty,
新泰人羊祜
Yanghu from Xintai City
取新甫山、泰山首字
took the first characters of Xinfu Mountain and Mount Tai
更“平阳”为“新泰”
and changed"Pingyang" to"Xintai"
距今已经有1700年的历史

峙山
Temple Hill
新泰有座“爱情山”
There is a mountain in Xintai that symbolizes love.
在新汶街道的寺山
On Temple Hill in Xinwen Street,
有座远近闻名的龙女庙
there is a famous temple of the dragon girl,
里面供奉的是龙女与柳毅
which is dedicated to the dragon girl and Liu Yi.
这也是“爱情山”的由来
This is also the origin of"Love Mountain"
相传有一年此地大旱
Legend has it that one year there was a great drought here,
为解救一方百姓
and in order to save the people,
龙女私自下了一场大雨
the dragon girl secretly rained heavily
此举触犯了天条
This behavior violated the precepts,
被龙王贬为庶人
so the dragon girl was degraded by the dragon king as a commoner
龙女在此牧羊为生
The dragon girl makes a living herding sheep in this place
书生柳毅赶考路过此地
A scholar named Liu Yi rushed to pass by this place
与龙女相遇一见倾心
and met the dragon girl and fell in love at first sight.
柳毅为龙女传书洞庭
Liu Yi wrote a book for her
使龙女获救
in order to save the dragon girl.
二人便结为夫妻居于此
They married and lived on this mountain.
阳光穿过茂密的枝叶
Sunlight shines through the lush foliage
洒在山间小路上
and spills on the mountain paths.
微风徐徐
The wind blows slowly
沐浴在大自然的怀抱中
Bask in the embrace of nature
感受着每一丝的惬意
and feel the comfort of nature.
如此美妙的仙境
Such a wonderful wonderland
亦是这对神仙眷侣的归宿

与龙女庙相邻的上清观内
Adjacent to the Temple of the Dragon Lady,
有一座大明崇祯八年立的碑
there is a monument erected in the eighth year of the Daming Chongzhen
碑体阳面刻着
Some characters are engraved on the sunny side of the stele.
时大明崇德八年立德府香火院
It says that it was built during the Chongde period of the Ming Dynasty.
这座碑曾遭到过破坏
The monument has been damaged.

观内两间有着朝代建筑标志的房屋内
In the courtyard there are two houses with dynastic architectural signs
顶部的石刻字迹
The stone inscription on the top
