626平方公里的东平湖，为山东省第二大湖，是黄河流域重要的蓄滞洪区、国家南水北调东线工程、京杭运河复航的重要枢纽。The 626-square-kilometer Dongping Lake is the second largest lake in Shandong Province. It is an important flood storage area of the Yellow River basin, the eastern route of the national South-to-North Water Diversion project, and an important hub for the resumption of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal.
