In Qihe County, there is a village in Yanbei Street called Tancetun. The village covers an area of 0.92 square kilometers with 690 mu of cultivated land. There are 189 households with 700 people in the village. The village has been honored as a national demonstration village for rural governance, provincial-level civilized village, provincial-level demonstration village for a beautiful and livable countryside and provincial-level demonstration village for rural revitalization.

In 2017, Tancetun Village became one of Qihe county’s first group of pilot villages for the establishment of rural land cooperatives. In 2018, on the heels of 300 mu of traditional agriculture, the cooperative built high-standard greenhouses for organic watermelons and virus-free potatoes, and bred ducks in an ecologically friendly way. The annual income was nearly 3 million yuan. At the same time, Tancetun Village made full use of idle house sites, and took advantage of a large number of enterprises in surrounding areas and good traffic conditions to build a reservoir warehouse of 12,000 square meters in 2020, which has capitalized resources. The warehousing project has not only increased the utilization rate of idle land and the income of villagers, but also created jobs for villagers. Since its completion, the warehouse has recruited many local residents. Being close to home, the residents are immune to weather and climate conditions. It is much better than working far away from the hometown.
