A Look into Innovative Transformation and Development of Chinese Culture in Shandong | Sensing Century-old Hongjitang TCM Culture

In 2021, the Hongjitang TCM Culture Tourist Attraction located in Licheng District of Jinan was promoted to a national 4A-grade tourist attraction. Recently, the crew behind the campaign “A look into innovative transformation and development of Chinese culture in Shandong” visited century-old Hongjitang to look into the integrated development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and modern technology.

Founded in 1907, Hongjitang is a typical representative of TCM stores in Shandong. It focuses on Shandong business culture and

integrates Beijing, Shanxi, Anhui and Zhejiang business cultures. The brand has stood the test of more than 100 years. Built on the traditional pharmaceutical techniques, diagnosis and treatment skills and health concepts, Hongjitang promotes the Chinese nation’s view of health, health care, culture and philosophy, and concentrates the essence of excellent traditional Chinese culture. In 2006, “Hongjitang”was recognized as one of the first batch of China Time-honored Brands.In 2021, it was listed into the “fifth representative list of state-level intangible cultural heritage items”.
